Peregrine: Roxy

Roxy came into us after being found on the ground next to a busy road. She was taken to 2 vets who were unable to identify the species,

before coming into us. Roxy is a Peregrine Falcon. She came in with a very badly damaged wing which was preventing her from flying and moving around comfortably. She will stay in one of our indoor runs whilst she heals, and be kept away from humans as much as possible to prevent any unnecessary movement.

Roxy is getting stronger each day and is almost ready to go. After being moved to our outside enclosure the badly damaged left wing is fully fixed. The 6 weeks of care from us hasn't seen her bad temper and attitude change one bit but we wouldn't want in any other way. She's almost ready to go.

It's official our grumpy bird is getting fit and flying perfectly. Because she was found fairly local to us, we were able to released her from out outside runs on site. She will find her way home from there - we wish her the best of luck!!
