HELP PLEASE

Our long term goal is to set up a fully equipped 24 hours wildlife hospital with full time vets. Anyone able to help with this process in relation to land and finance please contact us.

All our current fund raising is for an anesthetic machine and an operating table. Much of our income is spent on vet bills. Treatment is often carried out by our volunteers but we have to pay for the facilities and often the attendance of the practice vet . On many occasions our animals arrive late at night and we are unable to use some facilities. Having these two pieces of equipment would not only reduce our costs but increase our level of care. We have qualified veterinary staff and vets willing to give time so this equipment would really be a great asset to both care and cost.

It cost a lot of money each week to care for our wildlife. Below is a list of some of our costs.

To hand rear a fox and badger cub to release £1100.00
To over winter an underweight hedgehog £100.00
To hand rear one orphaned baby hedgehog £60.00
To hand rear and rehabilitate one fawn £300.00
To buy one heated intensive care cage £250.00
To hand rear one orphaned baby bird £27.00

All our labor is free but we do pay vet bill.

Anyone able to help and promote this type of activity in schools with us should contact us . We encourage newspapers and media to promote this ethos of Wildlife in balance wherever possible.

RELEASE SITES

We are always looking for release sites for all our creatures such as badgers, foxes and hedgehogs. If you have a suitable location please contact us. We are often able to release wildlife on public land. In all instances the legal owner of the land will need to be contacted . Please email us on info@harperaspreywildliferescue.co.uk and we will email you detils and form to complete. Once this has been assesed we will arrange for one of our team to contact you.
