This is Freddie. We think Freddie is approximately a year old. He came to us with a head and leg trauma. He was very tame and was tested for toxiplasmosis.

We feel the tameness was due to the head trauma. He has now started to recover and is more cautious of us. He is fully fit now . He has started behaving like a fox and is now burying his food in his run and eating earth worms.

He is now being released back into the wild using a soft release process. He is living in a temporary cage at our release site so he can be introduced to the local fox population. He will then be released and fed for another few weeks. Foxes never return to confinement but will return to the spot for food. Freddie will hopefully live a full and happy life along side us in the wild where he belongs. This site is on private property and we are very grateful to the persons who made this possible for their support, without them Freddie would not have such a good chance.

Freddie was released back into the wild and returned periodically to the release site for food. He is doing well and now back where he belongs.

Freddie was born wild and now has a second chance to live wild.

Thanks to the children that found him, the parents that phoned us , the driver that collected him, the people who fed him, the person who allowed us to use his property as a release site and the volunteers who continued to feed him and check on him. Thank you
